Appointments: Townley goes Downtown

DOWNTOWN in Business, the North West-based private sector business club, has appointed Alan Townley as business development manager ahead of its launch in Manchester.

Mr Townley, who previously worked for Excel Publishing, has more than 10 years’ experience in similar roles.

Downtown in Business has already established the business club brand in Liverpool and Preston and the Manchester launch is due in March.

Frank McKenna, chairman of Downtown in Business, said: "We are extremely pleased to welcome Alan to the team and look forward to the benefit of his local knowledge and experience."

Mr Townley added: "Having worked in the media for so long it’s going to be great to take on a new challenge and I am thrilled to be joining Downtown in Business at such an exciting time."
