The second City of Manchester Business Awards, hosted by Downtown Manchester in Business, will be held at the city’s spectacular Cathedral on the evening of Thursday 29th March 2012.
An exciting vacancy has become available at Downtown in Business (DIB). DIB is one of the most influential business organisations in the North West. We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic person with good communication skills.
Downtown Manchester in Business (DMIB) provide fresh and independent leadership to the private sector, by articulating the views of its members to the public sector agencies that govern the city; support and promote policies that benefit Manchester at regional and national levels; and create genuine cross sector networking environments that will attract entrepreneurs, high growth companies and the regions big hitters from all areas of the business community.
DMIB offer several core areas:
To represent and lobby for Manchester’s private sector businesses and their economic interests.
Influence national and regional government policies and investment decisions to support Manchester’s global competitiveness.
Maintain and promote Manchester’s reputation as an enterprising and business friendly city.
To create dynamic networking environments that bring together the Manchester business family from across all industry sectors.
Showcase business expertise and best practice in Manchester.
Mobilise corporate commitment to delivering social, environmental and community benefits in Manchester.
To work in partnership with relevant agencies to provide information, support, guidance and opportunity to the Manchester business sector.
